If you stay up to date on all the latest trends and react fast to breaking news, then you should be a radio show producer! Keeping up with the headlines and creating entertaining, informative, and engaging content to deliver to the audience is what you do. Tasks may include research, content development, and communicating with and booking potential guests.

 

Key Responsibilities MAY Include:

  • Writing scripts

  • Recording and editing audio

  • Choosing music

  • Coordinating interviews

  • Research content

  • Produce compelling and informative content

  • Show development

  • Book guest

  • Interview guest

  • Creating informative videos that may require some on-camera presence

  • Posting to platforms such as iHeart, Spotify, etc.

  • Represent the station at events in an upbeat, outgoing, and friendly manner

  • Weekly virtual meetings

  • Qualifications:

  • Friendly, outgoing, and hard-working personality

  • Preferred (but not required) to be pursuing a degree/certificate similar to broadcasting/journalism or a graduate

  • Flexible schedule and open availability

  • Ready and willing to learn

  • Detail-oriented

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

  • Planning and organizing

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and ALL Social Media platforms

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently

  • Professionalism

  • Good at following instructions

  • Must be able to work at least 10 hours a week

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video)

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

  • Shows hunger for original stories and unique angles

 

What You Should Know:
