“Dave Chappelle: The Closer” Final Special on Netflix
Legendary comedian Dave Chappelle released his final stand-up special under Netflix called “The Closer” where he cleared up some rumors about himself and discussed much more. Netflix premiered Dave Chappelle’s stand up show today.
In the special, Chappelle announces that this will be his last stand-up special with Netflix as his contract is coming to an end. He takes on the topics of Covid-19, vaccinations, family, LGBTQ+ community and racism.
Chappelle’s past five specials were the following: The Age of Spin, Deep in the Heart of Texas, Equanimity, The Bird Revelation and Sticks and Stones.
“I need you guys to know something, and I’m gonna tell you the truth, and don’t get freaked out: This is going to be my last special for a minute,” Chappelle said.
Chappelle expressed his journey being with Netflix and how he came a long way. Along with features of other comedians at the show’s ending credits presenting pictures with them as well as with the late-comedian Norm Macdonald who passed away this year.
