Tory Lanez Possibly Facing Jail Time After Rolling Loud Performance

On August 20, 2020, Megan Thee Stallion claimed that Tory Lanez was the gunman who shot her in the foot following a pool party earlier that summer at Kylie Jenner’s home. The following fall, it was announced by the LA DA's Office that felony assault and gun charges were now filed against Lanez. Currently, Lanez is out on a $35,000 bond while awaiting trial. That is until this past July.

DaBaby, who is currently in another separate controversy following homophobic remarks said during the performance and afterwards on line, is the rapper is also receiving criticism for bringing Tory Lanez out to perform with him during his set on day 3 of the festival. DaBaby's set also just so happened to be immediately following Megan thee Stallion's.

According to TMZ, prosecutors have filed a motion to hold Lanez in contempt for violating a court mandated restraining order put in place by Megan Thee Stallion, which stated he could not be within 100 yards of her.

TMZ also claimed that the prosecutors have already filed legal documents asking the judge to increase the bail for Lanez or revoke his bail, potentially causing his to serve jail time while he awaits their trial.
