Tragedy hits the world of Bodybuilding
On Tuesday, with great sadness in the bodybuilding world, 37-year-old bodybuilder George aka The Bull Peterson, was found dead in his hotel room in Orlando by security and his trainer/friend Justin Miller.
According to multiple sources, Peterson was found in his room face down Tuesday afternoon. Miller tried to revive him, but he didn’t respond; it seems Peterson was already dead for anyone who had shown up.
Peterson was in Orlando to get ready for the Men’s 212 Division for the 2021 Mr. Olympia. What makes his passing much worse is that he died a day before the event started and that many people favored him to win the whole contest.
Born in New York, George started to get serious into bodybuilding when he got his IFBB Pro card in 2016 after winning the NPC Nationals. His biggest win was when he won the Arnold Classic Physique Contest in 2019.
Sadik Hadzovic, 2015 Arnold Classic Champion, commented on Instagram and said, “I am very saddened by the loss of a friend today. I don’t have the right words to say. Rest In Peace, George. My condolences to his friends and family. We will miss you greatly.”
So far, nothing has been confirmed about the cause of his death, but the sad fact is that some viewers will see his death and think it was the cause of steroids.
His death shakes the whole bodybuilding world, and it should be no surprise that his name will be brought up during the Mr. Olympia contest. Also, someone could possibly dedicate their performance to George since he was a heavy favorite to win the whole thing.
